Agronomics may process the categories of personal data described in this Privacy Policy, including name, CNIC details, contact information, bank-account information, land and crop information, loan-application information, payment and transaction information, correspondence, device and usage information, and Internet Protocol address. Agronomics will collect facial images or facial-feature data only where a specific application feature requires it, the purpose and retention period are disclosed before collection, and any consent or other lawful basis required by applicable law has been established.

Agronomics may collect a farmer’s Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) details and bank-account information when necessary to facilitate a loan application with a participating bank or to process an incentive, reimbursement, or other payment funded by Agronomics.

Agronomics will use this information only for the relevant financing, verification, payment, accounting, fraud-prevention, recordkeeping, and legal-compliance purposes. If the required information is not provided, Agronomics or the participating bank may be unable to process the requested loan, incentive, reimbursement, or payment.

Agronomics is not a bank, financial institution, or lender. Agronomics provides a crop-growth model, the associated application, Crop Simulator services, and related data and analytical support to help participating banks better understand agricultural and farm-related information and make informed lending decisions.

Loan Disclaimer. Agronomics is not a bank, lender, credit provider, broker, or agent of any participating bank and has no authority to offer, approve, reject, price, condition, disburse, collect, restructure, or enforce a loan. Agronomics provides a crop-growth model, Crop Simulator assessment, associated application, and related data support only. Each participating bank independently performs its own KYC, eCIB or other credit-bureau, land or tenancy, field, affordability, collateral, and credit checks and has sole authority over every lending decision. A Crop Simulator result, application, payment, data submission, or communication from Agronomics is not financial advice and does not constitute a loan offer, approval, commitment, recommendation, representation, or guarantee. Agronomics is not responsible for a bank’s decision, processing time, loan terms, reduction or cancellation of financing, or failure to disburse, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Farmer Responsibility and Warranty

The farmer represents and warrants that all information and documents submitted to Agronomics or a participating bank are complete, accurate, current, lawful, and verifiable and that the farmer owns, leases, cultivates, or is otherwise lawfully Authorised to use every parcel submitted. The farmer must not submit another person’s land without lawful authority, alter or misstate boundaries, ownership, possession, cultivation, crop information, identity, or bank details, manipulate suitability inputs, impersonate another person, or provide false or misleading information to obtain a suitability result or financing. The farmer must promptly correct any information that becomes inaccurate and authorize Agronomics and the participating bank to verify the submission against relevant banking, credit, land, tenancy, satellite, field, government, and other lawful records.

Consequences of Incorrect Information

Agronomics may suspend processing or access to the Service, and the participating bank may reject, suspend, cancel, or decline to disburse a loan, where submitted information is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, fraudulent, unauthorized, inconsistent, unverifiable, or fails applicable requirements. The farmer is responsible for losses, delays, rejection, investigation, or other lawful consequences caused by the farmer’s false, misleading, fraudulent, or unauthorized submission. Any refund entitlement will be determined exclusively under the Non-Refundable Crop Simulator Fee clause and applicable law. Nothing in this clause excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Non-Refundable Crop Simulator Fee

The farmer must pay the disclosed Crop Simulator fee in full before Agronomics begins the requested assessment. The fee is consideration solely for preparing, processing, and delivering the Crop Simulator assessment and does not purchase, secure, or guarantee financing. The farmer may cancel before processing begins and receive a refund, less any non-refundable payment-provider charge disclosed before purchase. Once Agronomics begins processing the assessment, the fee is earned and non-refundable, including where the farmer withdraws, provides incomplete, inaccurate, misleading, or unverifiable information, fails a bank requirement, or the participating bank delays, reduces, declines, cancels, or does not disburse a loan. Agronomics will provide a refund where required by applicable law or where Agronomics does not provide the paid service, subject to any reasonable opportunity to correct or reperform the service.

Suspension and Termination

Agronomics may suspend or terminate access to the application or Crop Simulator services where a user breaches this Agreement, submits false or unauthorized information, misuses another person’s land or identity, interferes with the Service, fails to pay applicable fees, creates security or legal risk, or where suspension is required by law or a competent authority. The user may stop using the Service at any time. Termination does not affect accrued payment obligations, completed transactions, lawful data-retention obligations, or provisions intended to survive termination.

Crop Simulator Limitations

Crop Simulator outputs are estimates generated from the information supplied by the user and available agronomic, environmental, geographic, satellite, and other data. Actual crop suitability, yield, production, weather, pests, disease, water availability, input costs, market conditions, land conditions, and financial outcomes may differ. The assessment is not a physical land survey, title verification, valuation, guarantee of yield, professional agricultural advice, financial advice, or assurance of loan approval. Farmers and participating banks must conduct their own verification and obtain appropriate professional advice before relying on an output for planting, investment, or lending decisions.

At our platform, we collect and process several types of data to enhance your experience and maintain the security of our services. Here are the categories and associated data types:

• Suppliers can securely access Agronomics servers or systems via SSL-VPN defined on Firewalls.

Agronomics restricts employee authorization to our systems based on job descriptions. Any changes in authority or duty prompt updates to systemic authorizations.

Events occurring on Agronomics servers and firewalls are logged in to the “Information Security Threat and Event Management” system. This system promptly alerts responsible staff when security threats arise, enabling immediate response.

We employ cryptographic methods to store sensitive data securely. When necessary, data is transferred through encrypted environments. Additionally, cryptographic keys are stored in various secure locations.

We securely log all transaction records related to sensitive data.

Remote access to sensitive data requires at least two-factor authentication.

Agronomics provides regular training to employees to raise awareness about various information security violations. The goal is to minimize the impact of human factors in information violation incidents.

We ensure that personal data on paper is securely stored in lockers, accessible only by authorized personnel. Adequate security measures are implemented based on the specific environment where sensitive data is stored. These measures address potential risks such as electrical leakage, fire, flooding, and theft.

Agronomics periodically backs up the data it stores. As a backup mechanism, it uses the backup facilities provided by the cloud infrastructure providers, as well as the backup solutions it develops when deemed necessary, if it follows relevant legislation and provisions of this Policy.

We enter into non-disclosure agreements with employees involved in processing sensitive personal data.

We engage in storage and archive activities related to personal data. Additionally, Agronomics may transfer your personal data to the following parties for specific purposes:

Participating Banks and Financial-Service Providers

Agronomics may disclose a farmer’s CNIC details, bank-account information, contact information, and other information required for a loan application to the participating bank and its Authorised service providers solely to conduct know-your-customer (KYC), electronic Credit Information Bureau (eCIB), eligibility, verification, fraud-prevention, underwriting, approval, disbursement, repayment, and related regulatory checks. The participating bank will process this information under applicable law and its own privacy notice. Agronomics will not disclose this information to unrelated third parties, except where disclosure is necessary for the purposes described above, is Authorised by the farmer, or is required by applicable law, regulation, court order, or a competent authority. Access will be limited to Authorised personnel and intended recipients with a legitimate need to use the information.

1. Authorized Public Institutions and Organizations

• We share identity, communication, and transaction security information with authorized public institutions and organizations.
• This facilitates compliance with legislation, legal monitoring, and execution of legal affairs.

2. After-Sales Support and Business Activities

• Identity and contact information are shared to manage after-sales support services and conduct business activities.

3. Third-Party Applications Integration

• With explicit user consent, identity and contact information may be shared with third-party applications integrated into Agronomics Apps.

If you are an Agronomics employee or an applicant, we collect information that you voluntarily provide. This information is used for Human Resources purposes, including administering benefits for workers and screening applicants. You have the following options:

We may share information (including personal information) about you with our Corporate Affiliates. Governing Law and Jurisdiction. This Agreement and any non-contractual dispute arising out of or relating to it are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory right that cannot lawfully be waived, the courts of competent jurisdiction located in Islamabad, Pakistan will have exclusive jurisdiction over every dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement, the Privacy Policy, the application, the Crop Simulator services, or any related transaction.
